Volunteer Opportunities

Committees

We’re always looking for parent volunteers help ensure our swimmers and divers have an amazing season. Below is the list of our volunteer committees. If you are interested in helping or have questions, please reach out to us at uscswimdive@gmail.com

Class Sign Painting / WPIAL Sign Painting Coordinator
Organizes sign painting, including coordinating with the coach and team members about the date and making sure there are enough supplies.

Pasta Dinner Coordinator
Organize pasta dinners (typically 4 throughout season) based on input from coach. Set up the sign-up for food and coordinate with the hosts about food delivery.

Travel Meets Coordinator
Coordinates snacks and drinks for bus rides for all travel meets. Also, lunch and dinner if necessary.

Winter Training Breakfast Coordinator
Plan and host a breakfast for swimmers and divers one day during their winter training, usually on a Saturday in December.

Senior Recognition Coordinator
Organize Senior Recognition Night from buying senior gifts to senior photos, invitations to school officials, etc. Documentation from previous years’ events available and easy to follow.

States / WPIAL Coordinator
Plan, organize, and deliver breakfast each day to team members and coaches and reserves restaurants for lunches.  Coordinate WPIAL ticket purchases.

Banquet Coordinator
Organize an end of the season banquet for swimmers, divers, coaches and parents.

Home Meet Announcer
Announces divers, swimmers, and events during the meet and acts as commentator.

Home Meet Head Timer
Recruits timers and manages timing during home meets. Ideally 16 timers are needed but a minimum of 8 is acceptable to hold a meet.

Home Meet Diving Meet Scoring
Manually scores all home diving meets along with officials.

Home Meet Swim Meet Scoring
Manually scores all home swimming meets along with the officials.

Home Meet Manager
Run the Daktronics computer and scoreboard during home meets.

Apparel Coordinator
Coordinate with B & R Pool (Jen Michaels) and with Coach Dave for fitting of swim wear and warm ups, ordering, and distribution.

Team Pictures Coordinator
Organize team and individual pictures, coordinating with coach and M & M Photography, and ensure distribution for distribution. Work with chair for senior pictures in program and order senior plaques.

Photographer
Takes pictures during the meets and posts to a shared site.

Program Coordinator
Responsible for collecting information, soliciting corporate advertisers for revenue and parent purchase of pages, making the layout, print and distribution of the program.
